i have a question about how to use the heat press,should i cover a piece of cloth on the fabric where i iron the pattern?

And I suppose it's better to cover the cloth, too. especially if the pattern includes different stone sizes. The cloth will help to adjust the height difference so easier to get evenly heat pressed. Go to their How to Iron on page and look.

I encountered the same question with you previously. I recommend you to cover a piece of cloth above the motif. It can protect the fabric of your shirt. Some fabric it better not to be directly touched by the heat press.
