A Beauty of Simple vs. Complicated—Classic Cross Patterns

Simple geometrical figures are always the designers’ favorite because all the complication comes out from simple. This time we are going to present you another simple geometrical figure—the cross.

I.The Background about Cross
The simple figure is consisted of two lines or bars perpendicular to each other, dividing one or two of the lines in half. The lines usually run vertically and horizontally.

The cross perhaps is one of the most ancient human symbols and has been used in a wide range. The most widely used area is probably the religion represented by Christianity. It usually is explained the division of the world into four elements or cardinal points. Crosses are also used heraldry designs and sometimes they do not necessarily have any special meanings associated with them. Cross is also used in flags. Check the flat of UK, Norway or Sweden, you can always find a cross there. Apart from all those uses, some people use cross just as a decoration.
